TVS RTS X Concept Unveiled: A Bold Step into the Supermoto Arena

TVS Showcases the RTS X Concept at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, Signaling Its Foray into High-Performance Supermotos

TVS Motor Company has once again grabbed attention at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 by unveiling the RTS X Concept—a striking supermoto prototype powered by a brand-new 299cc engine. While still in the concept stage, the RTS X showcases TVS’s commitment to innovation and its readiness to tap into the growing supermoto segment.

Dynamic Design and Fresh Aesthetics

The RTS X draws inspiration from the RTR 310 platform but flaunts a distinctive bodywork that sets it apart. Up front, the bike sports a sharp headlight unit complemented by a sleek mudguard, giving it an aggressive and modern look. Its long, single-piece seat and minimalist tail section emphasize functionality, while the subframe, painted in bold white, adds a unique visual flair. TVS has opted for a striking yellow-and-white paint scheme that enhances the bike’s sporty demeanor.

Performance Meets Precision

At the heart of the RTS X is a 299cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, capable of producing 35bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, the engine is equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter for seamless gear changes. The bike’s performance figures are impressive, with a claimed 0-60kmph sprint in just 2.8 seconds and 0-100kmph in 6.3 seconds.

Weighing only 144kg, the RTS X is designed for nimble handling, making it a thrilling prospect for supermoto enthusiasts. However, its tall 875mm seat height may be challenging for shorter riders.

Top-Notch Hardware and Features

The RTS X rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends, ideal for its supermoto nature. Suspension duties are handled by 43mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, ensuring excellent ride quality. TVS has paid attention to weight distribution and chassis rigidity, promising an engaging riding experience.

What’s Next for the RTS X?

TVS has not officially confirmed whether the RTS X Concept will make it to production. However, with the KTM 390 SMC R generating buzz in India, there is a strong likelihood that TVS will capitalize on this opportunity by bringing the RTS X to market. If launched, it could position TVS as a serious contender in the supermoto segment.

Stay tuned for more updates on the TVS RTS X Concept as it evolves from a showpiece to a potential game-changer for enthusiasts in India.
