Yamaha YZF-R15S V3 Matte Black gets a price tag of Rs. 1,60,900/- (ex-showroom, New Delhi)

Yamaha has launched the YZF-R15S V3 in a new Matte Black shade for a price tag of Rs. 1,60,900/- (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It’s costlier than the base S V3 variant by Rs. 3300/-.

The top most V4 M World GP 60th Anniversary edition continues to hold its ex-showroom price of Rs. 1,88,300/-, that’s Rs. 30,700/- higher than the base S V3 variant.

Yamaha says the new shade will give the bike a stealthy appearance and will add up to the already existing Racing Blue shade. The company claimed it had carried out a market research finding many customers looking out for a new colour and hence the launch.

The new Matte Black variant will retain the standard features and specifications of the existing model. It gets the same 155 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, fuel-injected engine that uses innovative technologies like Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and Assist and Slipper (A&S) clutch.

As far as differences between the S and M go, the S features a unibody single piece seat and black alloy wheels against the M’s 2-piece seat and coloured wheels. Apart from this, both the variants look identical with the same set of features.

The twin LED headlamps, LCD instrument display, aluminium swingarm, side stand engine cut-off, and dual channel ABS are all present on the S variants.

The top most V4 M World GP 60th Anniversary edition was launched just over 3 months back. It comes in a white and red colour scheme and features gold alloy wheels, gold ‘Tuning Fork’ emblems, black levers and a commemorative badging on the fuel tank.

Inspired by the YZR-M1, its introduction marked the company’s association with the premier series of motorcycle road racing since 1961.
