The Royal Enfield Continental GT caf© racer was first unveiled at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. It was launched in the global markets in the middle of 2013 and is now available in India. The retro looking Continental-GT has been built from ground-up and gets the double downtube chassis instead of Royal Enfields traditional single downtube chassis.The Continental GT gets the UCE engine from the Classic 500 which has been re-bored for an increased capacity of 535cc. This engine churns out 29.1bhp of power and 44Nm torque. The 535cc motorcycle gets brembo disc brake in the front and bybre disc at the rear which gives it more than enough stopping power. The machine also gets a remapped ECU and Paioli suspension. The Continental GT is available in two shades GT Red, GT Black and GT Yellow.The Continental GT is the fastest and lightest single-seater motorcycle from the Royal Enfield and is being rolled out from the companys new facility at Oragadam near Chennai.The Royal Enfield Continental GT is priced at Rs 2.05 lakh (on-road Delhi) and Rs 2.14 lakh (on-road Mumbai). The production capacity of this motorcycle will be lower than rest of the range, but with steep price so will the demand.
