The Triumph Thruxton is the caf© racer version of the Bonneville T120 motorcycle. Based on the same liquid-cooled platform, this modern classic gets a host of traditional styling cues inspired by the Grand Prix road racing motorcycles of the 1960s.With its imposing stance and classic styling, the Thruxton R is an exemplary illustration of the evolution of cafe racers. The bike is full of classic styling cues like a round headlamp, twin-pod clocks, a sculpted fuel tank and the chromed spoke wheels. The clip-on handlebars and the slightly rear-set foot pegs offer a sporty riding position.
The twin chromed upswept exhaust offers a high bass note apart from beautifully blending with the Thruxtons character. The Triumph Thruxton is based on a tubular steel cradle frame, which has been comprehensively revised to accommodate the larger powertrain. Powering the Thruxton is a liquid-cooled 1200cc high power engine, which has been tuned to suit the Thruxtons sporty character.
Churning 112Nm of torque, this parallel twin unit is mated to a six-speed transmission. The Triumph Thruxton is available in three retro paint schemes – jet black, pure white and competition green. It will share the market space with other motorcycles like the Harley-Davidson Forty Eight and the Ducati Scrambler.
