Key Specification & Features of Triumph Bonneville Bobber (ChromeEdition)
Triumph Bonneville Bobber is a cruiser bike available at a starting price of Rs. 12,18,000 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 3 colors. The Triumph Bonneville Bobber is powered by a 1200cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 76.9 bhp and a torque of 106 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Triumph Bonneville Bobber comes up with an anti-locking braking system. The Triumph Bobber is a throwback to the days of single-seater motorcycles “It is to Triumph what the Classic is to Royal Enfield. It shares its engine with the Bonneville T120, although the power and torque outputs differ marginally at 76.9bhp and 106Nm. With the 2021 update, Triumph updated this motor for smoother power delivery.
The chassis of the Bobber differs from the Bonneville T120, the former being designed to look like a rigid frame. However, the rear shock is almost hidden under the seat, and it has all the modern conveniences you could want, from ABS to traction control to two riding modes (road and rain). The neo-retro styling makes it a much more appealing product visually, and if you have visions of riding around like Steve McQueen in The Great Escape, all you need is some olive green paint and a Triumph Bobber.
The latest edition of the Bonneville Bobber gets a smaller 16-inch wheel up front, as opposed to the previous 19-inch unit. It also gets more premium hardware like twin 310mm discs with new axial Brembo calipers and new 47mm Showa cartridge forks at the front. The rear continues with a 265mm single disc with a Nissin caliper and a link-type monoshock. Moreover, the fuel tank capacity has also increased from 8-litre to 12-litre.
The Triumph Bonneville Bobber competes with the likes of the Harley Davidson Forty-Eight and the Street Bob.
