The Triumph Bonneville T100 Black is one of the companys most affordable motorcycles. It is being positioned as an urban modern classic bike and thats why the company has used lots of black paint scheme on it. In fact, the only chrome parts are the spoke wheels, rear suspension and FI cover.
The upright handlebar, twin-pod console and round headlamp begin the classic proceedings. The bulbous tank is well contoured and gets the signature tank pads on the sides. The parallel twin cylinder block is painted black and the crankcase cover gets a brushed metal finish.
The flat seat, twin shock absorbers, twin exhausts and spoked wheels complete the retro styling of the Bonneville T100. It gets a twin pod analogue instrument console that shows speed, revs, a digital odometer and trip meters. While it doesnt get a fuel gauge, it does get a low-fuel indicator. It gets ABS as standard with a 310mm single disc in the front and a 255mm disc in the rear.
The 900cc twin cylinder engine develops 54bhp of power at 5900rpm and 80Nm of torque at 3230rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and drives the rear wheel via a chain. The fuel supply is managed by an electronic fuel-injection system but the air intakes are designed to look like carburettors for the retro look.
The Bonneville T100 competes with the Ducati Scrambler among retro-styled bikes and for the price tag, it also competes with the Honda CBR 650F.
