Description

This Bike is out of production.

The new Triumph Street Triple gets a host of new fresh upgrades as compared to its predecessors. Globally, the motorcycle is available in three variants – S, R and the RS, while in India we only get the S variant the country. The new model further strengthens the brands foothold in the middleweight sports bike segment. Mechanically, the bike is powered by a bigger 765cc, inline three-cylinder engine that generates 111bhp of power at 11,250rpm and 73Nm of torque at 9,100rpm. The fairly powerful engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission. The new bike is lighter by 2kgs, and thus offers a quicker power delivery as compared to its predecessor. The new Street Triple by Triumph offers an additional 10mm of seat height as against the current bike which stands at 810mm. The front gets Showa 41mm inverted separate function forks while the rear is suspended by a Showa monoshock with a piggyback reservoir. For effective braking, it comes with twin 310mm discs with twin-piston Nissin calipers on the front, while the rear is offered with a single 220mm disc with a single piston Brembo caliper. The bike is more focused at everyday usage along with delivering a decent performance. It competes against the likes of DSK Benelli TNT899, Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster 821 and the Yamaha MT-09 in the country. Sometime later, we will also see the RS variant being launched in the country.
