The Tiger 800 XC is an adventure motorcycle from the British bike manufacturer Triumph. The Tiger 800 XC is one among the two adventure series motorcycles sold in India by Triumph. The Tiger, unlike most high capacity motorcycles in India, is assembled here. The 800 XC gets an inline three-cylinder 799cc 12-valve engine producing a maximum of 93.7bhp and 79Nm of torque. A six-speed gearbox does the duty of transmitting all that power to the rear wheel via a chain. The motorcycle is built on a tubular steel trellis frame.
The front suspension gets 45mm upside down forks and the rear gets a monoshock with remote oil reservoir enabling to keep the motorcycle 203mm off the ground. Stopping power comes from two-piston floating callipers biting into two 308mm discs at the front and a single 255mm disc at the rear. It gets 90/90 R17 tyre at the front and a 150/70 R17 tyre at the rear.It is 2215mm long, 865mm wide, 1390mm tall and a 1545mm wheelbase separates the front and rear tyres. The motorcycle tips the scales at 215kg.The Triumph Tiger 800 XC is available in three colours phantom black, khaki green and crystal white. It competes with the BMW F650GS.
