The Triumph Tiger 900 is powered by 888cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 93.9 bhp and a torque of 87 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Triumph Tiger 900 comes up with anti-locking braking system. The Triumph Tiger 900 is one of the highest selling bikes for the company. This has been possible due to its strong brand recall, great performance and features and also due to the pricing. The Tiger 900 replaced the famous Tiger 800 last year and brought more value for money.

The Tiger 900 is available in two variants; the road-version being called GT, whereas the off-road goes by the name Rally. Both the variants weighs lesser than the outgoing model and comes with more features and gets a revised design which looks so much better.

The Rally versions are equipped with more premium suspension and spoke wheels, whereas the GT ones get cast wheels. The entry-level Rally-spec models feature a Marzocchi setup front and rear with 180mm travel at the front and 170mm at the back. Theres adjustment for compression, rebound and pre-load. Meanwhile, the higher-spec Rally variants are equipped with Showa suspension that has a massive travel of 240mm at the front and 230mm at the back. Besides that, Triumph has revised the overall ergonomics of the motorcycle.

In terms of equipment, the new Tiger comes with six riding modes, traction control system and new TFT screen. The top-spec variant gets a tyre pressure monitoring system, heated grips and shift assist. Powering the Tiger 900 is a new 900cc engine that pumps out 94bhp which is the same as the Tiger 800. But the torque has now increased by 10 per cent to 87Nm at 7250rpm. The new Tiger 900 tips the scale at 192kgs.
