TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is a street bike available at a starting price of Rs. 1,29,012 in India. It is available in 4 variants and 3 colours with top variant price starting from Rs. 1,38,423. The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by 197.75cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 20.54 bhp and a torque of 17.25 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Apache RTR 200 4V bike weighs 152 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters. The new Apache RTR 200 4V continues to be powered by the same 197.75cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, oil-cooled mill with TVSs Race Tuned-Fuel Injection RT-Fi technology. It churns out 20.54bhp at 9,000rpm and 17.25Nm at 7,250rpm while being mated to a five-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The Riding Modes variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V series benefits from three selectable riding modes. The Sports mode gives access to the full 20.54bhp and 17.25Nm output while the Urban and Rain modes limit those numbers to 17.08bhp and 16.51Nm.
The motorcycle also features first-in-class GTT (Glide Through Traffic) technology for a smooth low speed ride. Moreover, theres a Bluetooth-enabled LCD cluster that has Bluetooth connectivity as standard. To top the goodies off, you get a radial tyre at the rear which is also fitted as standard.
Following the recent update, the Apache RTR 200 4V now comes with three riding modes, something that was unheard of in this category of bikes. The modes include Rain, Road, and Sport which can be selected via a dedicated button on the switchgear. Notably, each mode changes the amount of ABS intervention, power delivery, and throttle response. The top speed also varies depending on the selected mode.
There are hardware updates too in this latest edition of the bike. While the brake and clutch levers are three-step adjustable, the suspension setup is sourced from Showa and gets preload adjustability. TVS claims the brakes have also been revised for a better performance than before.
All the aforementioned updates were initially introduced only in the dual-channel ABS variant of the motorcycle. But the company has now bestowed even the single ABS trim with all these changes.
The Apache continues to boast of a sporty and aggressive design, which received its last update in 2019. However, the revisions were limited to the headlamp cluster which now looks angrier with geometric-looking design and boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. The rest of the body work features a muscular and sculpted fuel tank, split seat setup, and dual-barrel exhaust.
