2016 marks the 70th anniversary of the iconic Vespa brand, and the company has launched the Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition as a commemoration. This scooter is offered with a slew of accessories and a unique paint scheme to set it apart from the crowd. The styling of the Vespa VXL 150 harks back to the Vespa scooters of the 1960s. The round headlamp, mirrors, bits of the front suspension and the luggage carrier are chromed to give it an elegant look.
It also gets a tinted fly screen, perimeter guard and five-spoke alloy wheels in a unique grey shade. The brown leather seat is embossed with a 70th Anniversary logo and gets contrasting white stitching. The instrument cluster integrates a digital display that show fuel level, the odometer and two trip meters.
The Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition is powered by the 150cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 11.4bhp and 11.5Nm of torque. It rides on 11-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres. A front disc brake is standard. The Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition is available only in a bright Azurro 70 paint scheme which is unique to this model. It competes with the Aprilia SR 150.
