Vespa ZX 125 is a scooter available at a starting price of Rs. 1,16,135 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 7 colours. The Vespa ZX 125 is powered by 124.45cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 9.78 bhp and a torque of 9.60 Nm. With front disc and rear drum brakes, Vespa ZX 125 comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. This ZX 125 scooter weighs 114 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 7.4 liters.
The ZX 125 is a replacement to the LX 125 that was sold by Vespa in the country. In comparison to the latter, the ZX 125 retains the same design and features. The only new addition is the Combined Braking System (CBS) to reduce the overall braking distance thus improving braking efficiency. The Vespa ZX 125 is available in both drum and disc variants.
Powering the ZX 125 is the same 125cc air-cooled 3-valve motor that churns out 9.76bhp of max power and 10.6Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a variomatic gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by a single-sided arm hydraulic unit for the front and a monoshock for the rear. The scooter rides on 10-inch wheels and employs drum brakes at both ends with the option of a disc for the front. In its segment, the Vespa ZX 125 competes against the Honda Grazia 125, Suzuki Access 125 and the TVS Ntorq 125.
