The Yamaha MT-09 is a popular hyper-naked motorcycle known for its explosive performance and agile handling. It is powered by an 890cc liquid-cooled, inline-three (CP3) engine that produces 119 PS and 93 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. The motor is known for its strong mid-range, sharp throttle response, and the distinctive character of a three-cylinder setup, making the MT-09 extremely fun to ride in both city and highway conditions.

Built on a lightweight aluminium frame, the MT-09 uses fully adjustable inverted front forks and a mono-shock rear suspension, giving it excellent cornering stability and agile steering. Braking performance is handled by dual front discs, a rear disc, and dual-channel ABS. The bike feels compact, nimble, and confidence-inspiring, especially for riders who enjoy sporty riding.

In terms of features, the MT-09 comes equipped with a full-colour TFT display, ride-by-wire throttle, multiple ride modes, traction control, quick-shifter, and full LED lighting. The Yamaha MT-09 was first showcased in India in February 2016, marking its official introduction into the Indian market.
