The sporty looking 150cc motorcycle from Yamaha, the SZ-RR, was introduced to the Indian two-wheeler market as a powerful yet comfortable commuter motorcycle that can be used by youngsters as well as middle-aged men.The Yamaha SZ-RR is equipped with special features like its smoked windscreen, aluminum grab-bars and a three-dimensional emblem.
The bike has a fuel tank with a capacity to contain 14litres. It comes with shrouds that differentiate it from the SZ-S. The split grab bars have been changed from the steel type to a die-cast aluminum. The motorcycle has a 245mm front disc brake and an analog tachometer with new dial designs. The single seat is wide and comfortable enough for both the rider and the pillion.
This motorcycle is powered by a single cylinder 153cc four-stroke air-cooled SOHC engine. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The company claims that the motor has been tuned for optimum performance churning out additional power in the low to mid-speed range. The rear suspension has a lightweight single-coil spring.
The long stroke of 100mm ensures a comfortable ride even with a pillion rider. The Yamaha SZ-RR is sold in three colours in India Red, Black and Blue. It competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and the Honda Unicorn
