Aprilia has announced the 2025 editions of its popular 125cc sport bikes—the RS125 and Tuono 125. These new versions bring engine upgrades to meet stringent Euro5+ emission standards while retaining their distinct appeal in the small-displacement motorcycle segment.

Enhanced Engine Performance

Both bikes are powered by the updated 125cc liquid-cooled engine, now compliant with Euro5+ norms. Despite the regulatory upgrade, the engine maintains its performance figures, delivering 15bhp at 10,500rpm and 12Nm of torque at 8,500rpm. Riders can enjoy a seamless six-speed gearbox, with an optional quick shifter available in select markets for a sportier experience.

Same Reliable Underpinnings

Mechanically, the RS125 and Tuono 125 remain consistent with their predecessors. The chassis, brakes, wheels, tyres, and digital instrument cluster have been carried forward, ensuring proven reliability. Standard safety features include ABS and a traction control system. Both bikes are equipped with LED lighting, enhancing visibility and modernizing their aesthetics.

The RS125 debuts in Kingsnake White and Cyanide Yellow, while the Tuono 125 comes in Viper Yellow and Mamba Grey, offering buyers stylish new options that add a vibrant touch to their rides.

European Launch Planned for 2025

Aprilia plans to roll out these models in Europe early next year. Unfortunately, Indian enthusiasts might miss out, as the high cost of importing these bikes makes them unlikely candidates for the Indian market unless local production is initiated.
