Ather Energy Prepares to Unveil the Upgraded 450X

Ather Energy is gearing up to unveil the 2025 edition of its flagship electric scooter, the Ather 450X, on 4 January 2025. Known for its innovative features and robust performance, this refreshed model is set to bring a host of enhancements in performance, safety, and software capabilities.

Performance Boost for Thrilling Rides

The updated Ather 450X is expected to increase its top speed to 100kmph, matching the performance of the Ather 450 Apex. Its real-world battery range may also see a boost, surpassing the current 90km (2.9kWh) and 110km (3.7kWh) limits. A promotional teaser even showed the scooter holding its own against internal combustion engine vehicles on a racetrack, highlighting its improved performance dynamics.

Safety and Software Advancements

Hints from Ather CEO Tarun Mehta’s recent social media post suggest significant safety upgrades. A refined traction control system, potentially named Track-Tion, is expected to make its debut. Moreover, the introduction of AtherStack 6, the company’s next-gen software suite, will likely enhance the scooter’s user experience and functionality.

Price Revision

With these updates, the Ather 450X is set to see a price hike of around ₹5,000. As of now, prices range from ₹1.40 lakh (2.9kWh without Pro Pack) to ₹1.75 lakh (3.7kWh with Pro Pack), ex-showroom.
