Ather Rizta Launched Starting From Rs. 1.1 Lakh
Ather’s approach to the Indian electric mobility sector has entered a new phase with the introduction of Rizta. While the company has primarily targeted a younger demographic since its establishment, Ather Energy is now expanding into the realm of family-oriented electric scooters, where competitors like TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak have been making significant strides in market share.
Facing stiff competition from Ola Electric and their range of S1 electric scooters, Rizta must strive to distinguish itself in the market. Priced at Rs. 1.1 lakh (ex-showroom), Rizta presents a more attractive option compared to other Ather electric scooters priced below 450 range. The base S variant is priced at Rs. 1.1 lakh, while the top-spec Z variant falls between Rs. 1.24 lakh and Rs. 1.44 lakh.
The design language of Rizta is tailored towards family scooters as well. Ather Rizta adopts a minimalist design approach, resulting in a sleek and contemporary scooter.
While it may draw some inspiration from its competitor TVS iQube, the overall design and aesthetics of Rizta possess a unique quality that sets it apart from other electric scooters available in the Indian market.
Key features of Rizta include rear LED tail lights, the longest seat in India measuring 900mm, a flat floorboard, rear pillion backrest, 34L underseat storage, optional 22L flexible frunk, and a wireless charger for the Ather Halo helmet. The scooter also boasts an attractive handlebar panel, front mudguard, and side body panels with minimal creases, creating a visually appealing and soothing appearance.

Additionally, the Ather Rizta is equipped with Ather Skid control, similar to a traction control system.
The Ather Rizta is available with a 2.9 kWh battery in the base S variant and a larger 3.7 kWh battery in the top-spec Z variant. The scooter offers a True Range of 105 km with the S variant and 125 km with the Z variant.
