The new teaser provides us with a more detailed glimpse of the design of the upcoming Ather Rizta. Unlike Ather’s existing 450 scooters, which have a sleek and modern appearance that appeals to younger generations, the Rizta adopts a more conventional design format.

This design format is similar to the popular family-oriented ICE scooters like the Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, and Suzuki Access. In terms of practicality for everyday use, the classic design format proves to be a more suitable choice.

The Ather Rizta features smooth and curvy panelling throughout its body. The LED headlight is positioned at the lower section of the front apron, seamlessly blending with the overall structure. The large front fender follows the traditional design format and distinguishes itself from the 450 range.

Additionally, a notable feature that has been revealed is the presence of a spacious instrument panel. Whether it will be a touchscreen or a simple LCD unit will depend on the pricing strategy adopted for the scooter.

The existing Ather 450S already incorporates an LCD unit that supports Bluetooth connectivity, enabling users to connect their smartphones for calls and music. Moreover, the LCD panel on the 450S also offers turn-by-turn navigation functionality.

Ather Rizta – Comfy rides for entire family

The Rizta electric scooter stands out due to its noticeably large size. The seating area for both the rider and pillion is more spacious compared to traditional 110cc and 125cc ICE scooters, with a longer and wider seat.

Ather has emphasized the generous dimensions of the Rizta electric scooter in its social media promotions. In a recent video, Ather showcased the size of Rizta’s seat by comparing it to that of the Honda Activa.

The seat of the Rizta appears to be approximately 1/3rd larger than the Activa’s seat, making it suitable even for larger individuals. Additionally, the Rizta features a spacious floorboard area that can accommodate groceries and other items. The scooter is also anticipated to come with a front trunk (frunk) and ample under-seat storage.

New Ather Rizta features

It is anticipated that Ather Rizta, due to its larger dimensions, will have a slightly higher weight compared to the 450 range. This might necessitate a larger battery pack and a new electric motor.

The tech kit is expected to be borrowed from the existing 450 range. Even the base model 450S offers a wide range of advanced features including park assist, auto hold, auto indicator cut off, and guide me home light. Safety features such as emergency stop signal and FailSafe are also included.

App-based features encompass tow and theft alert, find my scooter, real-time charge status, push navigation, find Ather Grid charging point, and ride insights. Ather plans to unveil Rizta during the ‘Ather Community Day 2024’ event in June later this year. Rizta will face competition from Ola S1 Air and TVS iQube.

The expected price range for Rizta is between Rs 1.25 lakh and Rs 1.35 lakh.
