Bajaj Pulsar Twinner 500 – Everything We Know As of May 2022

Bajaj Auto is gearing up to expand its dominance in the 500-cc segment with the twin-cylinder Twinner 500 that might see the light of day pretty soon.

The Bajaj Pulsar Twinner 500 is about to become reality as the giant bike manufacturer filed the trademark for the same just a while ago. The stunts are being performed on it by professionals in the video, which is a common way to advertise bikes. The rumour mill was running the reports of a 500-cc bike from Bajaj for quite some time now. But the trademark filing was the final hint and now, it looks like we are about to experience the sportsbike in flesh very soon.

Although the design of the bike is not out yet, going by the 250-cc bikes on offer by Bajaj, we could expect the bike to have LED headlamps, fairing or naked variants, sculpted fuel tank, digital console, broad tyres, stylish alloy wheels, twin-exhaust setup, sporty seating arrangement, dual-channel ABS, sleek taillamps, and a ton of sporty design elements to complete the sports bike look. With the Twinner 500, Bajaj could be well on its way to ruling the 500-cc segment too.

It is entirely possible that Bajaj decides to launch this bike in partnership with some other brands. This could include the likes of Triumph with whom it had previously planned to co-develop an affordable middleweight bike for emerging markets like India. In addition to this, Bajaj has also been working on a 490-cc engine with KTM, that could power the 490 Duke, 490 Enduro and 490 Adventure motorcycles from the Austrian bike maker. In case the Twinner isn’t a product of the Bajaj-Triumph association, the new range of Katooms could spin a Bajaj-branded model off that would be sold under the Twinner moniker.

Irrespective of which brand Bajaj decides to associate with, the bottom line is that it has ambitious plans to grab the 500-cc segment market for itself too. This would invariably be massive for its portfolio which would consist of entry-level everyday affordable bikes to enthusiasts’ preferred sports bikes. We might be able to see the Bajaj Pulsar Twinner 500 on our roads by next year.
