Triumph Daytona 660 teased, unveil on January 9
New Triumph model teased on social media ahead of January 2024 reveal
British bike maker Triumph has released teaser images on its social media platforms, announcing the imminent arrival of the new Daytona 660. The midweight supersport is set to be unveiled on January 9.
Judging from the teaser and spy shots, the Daytona 660 appears to have an aggressive, fully faired design, which is sure to appeal to a lot of people. It gets a split LED headlight arrangement, a split seat setup and the ergonomics don’t seem as committed as on the older Daytona 675.
The display is also expected to be similar to the other two Triumph 660s and the features it packs in should also be the same. Expect the Daytona 660 to pack in the same electronic rider aids consisting of two riding modes (Rain, Road), a bi-directional quickshifter and a simple traction control system, as the other two bikes.

Triumph is being tight-lipped when it comes to the specification and features of the new machine, although should it be using the same 660cc inline three-cylinder as found in the Tiger Sport 660 and Trident 660, we can expect a power output of around 80bhp, and around 47lb ft of torque, although a bespoke tune and throttle map is also expected.
The move to relaunch the Daytona name in this 660cc form sees Triumph jumping into the hotly contested midweight sports bike market, where it will have to fight it out against the Suzuki GSX-8R, Honda CBR650, and much-talked-about, but not officially announced, Honda CBR750R.
For reference, the Triumph Trident 660 starts from Rs 8.12 lakh while the Tiger Sport 660 is priced from Rs 9.34 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
