Bajaj is preparing to introduce its largest and most powerful Pulsar model to date. The company has released teasers of the upcoming Pulsar NS400 on its social media platforms ahead of the bike’s official launch on 3 May.

The teaser emphasizes the speed of the Pulsar NS400, hinting at its nearly 400cc engine, which is the largest displacement engine ever seen in a Bajaj Pulsar.

There is speculation that Bajaj may equip the Pulsar NS200 with either a modified version of the new KTM 390 Duke’s engine or the Dominar 400’s engine. It is anticipated that the peak power will exceed 40bhp, with peak torque ranging from 35Nm to 37Nm. The engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The Pulsar NS400 is anticipated to utilize the NS200’s perimeter frame, supported by a USD fork and preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking responsibilities are likely to be managed by a 320mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear.

The motorcycle will be equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, resembling the design of those on the NS200.

In terms of appearance, it is anticipated that Bajaj will introduce a muscular-looking Pulsar NS400, featuring large body panels to enhance the bike’s road presence. Additionally, new colors and graphics that have not been previously seen on other Pulsar models are expected.

Regarding features, Bajaj is expected to introduce a comprehensive range of features in the new flagship Pulsar NS400. This may include all-LED lights, dual-channel ABS with modes, and a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity.

Bajaj is renowned for competitively pricing the Pulsar lineup, and a similar approach is expected for the NS400. The price range is expected to fall between Rs 2-2.3 lakh.

After launch, the bike will go up against other streetfighters in the 400cc segment like the Triumph Speed 400, KTM 390 Duke and the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
