Aprilia RS457 UK Price and Pre-Order Details Revealed
RS457 is manufactured in India. UK gets a new A2 fully-faired bike.
The UK market has recently witnessed the launch of the Aprilia RS457. Priced at approximately £6,500 (INR 6.8 lakh*) , this bike is imported from India. It directly competes with the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and the Yamaha YZF-R3.
With the introduction of the RS457, A2 license holders in the UK now have a wider range of options to choose from. The brand has high hopes for this bike and anticipates good sales. It is worth noting that the Aprilia RS457 is relatively more expensive compared to its competitors.
However, the Yamaha YZF-R3 is only slightly pricier than the RS457. One of the distinguishing features of the Aprilia 457, previously expected to be named RS 440, is its aluminum frame that utilizes the engine’s crankcase as a stressed member of the chassis.
This sets it apart from its rivals, such as the Yamaha R3, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and Honda CBR 500R, which all employ steel frames.

The frame is equipped with a 41mm fork that offers 120mm of travel, and at the rear, the monoshock provides 130mm of travel. Braking at the front is managed by a single 320mm disc clamped by a four-piston calliper, while the rear features a single-piston calliper paired with a 220mm rotor.
The bike comes with a switchable two-channel ABS system that can operate on both wheels or just the front. At the bottom of the bike, you’ll find 17-inch wheels on both ends, fitted with 110/70 tires at the front and 150/60 at the rear.
Additionally, the motorcycle is outfitted with full LED illumination, a 5″ TFT display for adjusting rider aids such as engine maps, traction control, ABS, anti-roll system, and three riding modes.

The driving force behind all of this is the liquid-cooled parallel twin, which is the main competitor of the RS 457. It has a power output of 47bhp, which is the maximum allowed for A2-category motorcycles, and it features a sleek two-into-one, underbelly-mounted exhaust.
Despite its modest power, the Aprilia RS 457 should still provide a lively experience, weighing 159kg when dry or 175kg with fluids. In terms of technology, the RS 457 is equipped with a ride-by-wire throttle that offers three riding modes and three levels of traction control.
Additionally, there is an option to completely disable the traction control if desired. As for the quickshifter, its price has yet to be disclosed.
