Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme Edition announced
YAMAHA Europe has announced a new, more off-road-ready variant of the hugely popular adventure tourer, in the form of the Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme Edition.
Yamaha has unveiled two new editions of its famous adventure motorcycle – the Tenere 700. This middleweight ADV has been in great demand in Europe, and to keep the segment exciting, the Japanese brand has unveiled two new editions – Extreme and Explore.
The KYB rear shock also boasts slightly more travel, with uspension travel on the Extreme Edition is 230mm in front and 220 in the back, and ground clearance is 260mm.

The new model also gains adjustable, off-road titanium footpegs, complete with bear trap grips. The standard mudguard is ditched in favour of a high, enduro-style item, while a radiator protector is fitted to the bike as standard.
The Extreme Edition include a new one-piece saddle that has 20mm more padding, increasing the overall seat height to 910mm, or nearly 36 inches.
As it stands, the bike is being marketed in France, Italy and Germany and will retail at €11,899.
